The Payroll module meets the needs of SMB businesses with a limited number of employees as well as work agencies with a large employee turnover.

The module is an extension of Microsoft Dynamics NAV functionality for human resources management and payroll calculation. With its enhanced functionality, the solution enables the user to manage customized documents, work time and absence sheets as well as calculate employee remuneration based on user-defined criteria.




Employee card – a repository of employee data

The employee card is a central element of the module. It is created for each employee and comprises all employment details organized on FastTabs for easier access.

Employee card information includes personal data, address data, leave limits, company loans, employee bank accounts, picture, time and absence sheets, employment history (including his/her previous employment), training courses, awards and disciplinary actions as well as periodic medical examination.

Such a set of data collected in one place facilitates the management of employee issues.

Based on this data, it is possible to validate various types of official identification numbers and calculate the vacation limit. From the card, you can also print various types of HR documents and reports. The card can be also used to access payrolls.

Calculation of remuneration amounts for each employment type

Depending on the type of employment such as employment contracts and civil law contracts (mandate contacts and specific work contacts), different methods have to be applied to calculate remuneration. For this reason, the setup includes custom-defined remuneration components. The results can be calculated automatically or edited manually (for single or multiple use). For easier calculation, the user can define payroll templates for specific employee groups (e.g. remuneration based on monthly, hourly, piecework rates and commission-based remuneration, etc.). Additionally, it can also be used to calculate the remuneration for vacation leave, sick leave and the basis of sick and family care leaves. It is also possible to modify setup to meet changing legal regulations covering such issues as tax thresholds and tax deductible and tax-free (tax relief) amounts. The module can be also used to manage company benefits

Time Sheets – easy work time registration

Registering employee work time is a key factor for increasing profitability. With the module, employee work time can be easily registered. Work start and end times can be registered in many ways e.g. using time readers. The data stored is uploaded into time sheets for further processing. The process can be set up as required. Work time data can be accessed both at the initial and final processing stages. Time sheet processing enables calculation of remuneration and premium amounts for all time sheet components such as overtime and night shift.

Absence register – a complete overview of absences, vacation and sick leaves

In addition to absences, the register shows current leave entitlement. The number of leave days is calculated automatically based on the set-up defined in accordance with legal and company regulations. The register also enables you to keep track of used vacation limits and sick leaves. The data can be transferred into external systems such as a social insurance system.

Payroll posting – integration with the ERP system

Integrated with Dynamics NAV, the payroll module enables fast payroll posting. The process requires setting up a link between the components of the payroll layout and general ledger accounts or vendor/customer accounts. It is also necessary to define general ledger accounts for positing. The user can define the posting setup including cost allocation based on posting dimensions, schedules and time sheets. With this functionality, it is also possible to repost the payroll (including missing entries for the same document number) and create a trial posting with an audit report.

Work time calendars (Schedules) – easier time management and monitoring

Calendars are important for the monitoring of employee availability and task assignment. In the module, they can be custom-defined for specific employees or employee groups. Calendars can be modified at any time, including the calculation period.

Corrective payroll – easier error adjustment

A corrective payroll can be generated for selected employees or all employees, ensuring human or system error resolution.


This functionality enables you to create electronic transfers directly or using the Electronic Banking module. You can also block transfers for resending or printing.

Journals – easier access from the ERP system

Journals can be accessed by Microsoft Dynamics NAV users who are not authorized to retrieve human resources and payroll data, depending of their access rights. Recurring journals enable easier entry of periodic data sets.

Change log – all activity recorded

It contains the history of data entry and modifications that is stored to reproduce information in case it is changed or deleted by mistake. The change log can be viewed on the screen or in reports.
